Dear Snowroller Family,
The Snowroller team and I hope you are doing well despite what has happened in recent months. We hope that you have used your time in new ways, for example by learning how to bake sourdough bread or renew old furniture and clothes.
As you may have noticed, it has been relatively quiet from us in Snowroller since the beginning of March. This season ended very quickly for us as COVID-19 spread throughout Europe, causing most people to cancel their trips to the mountains. Our best months from previous years, March and April, were therefore far from what we had imagined.
Also, we have been super excited to head to the mountains to spot you in your fabulous Snowroller ski suits on the slopes and at after-ski.
Well, Easter 2021, we are ready for you!
Despite this, we have kept up our courage and are now looking forward to next winter. We have spent the time in lock-down working on an internationalization strategy for the upcoming season, which means that customers outside Norway will soon have easier access to the Snowroller suits online.
Eva (CMO) and I have also had time to complete our Master’s thesis at NTNU School of Entrepreneurship (for those of you who have not noticed this – we have so far been running Snowroller next to also being full-time students), which is the last stop on the road before we can work full time with what we really love – running Snowroller.
In addition, we have started a sustainable project where we have received 1 MNOK in financial support from the Research Council of Norway to transform Snowroller to a more environmentally conscious business. This means for instance that you will get the chance to buy ski apparel from us, both new and old, which is more sustainable in the future. We aim to be a leader and game-changer when it comes to sustainability in one of the world’s most polluting industries. You will have the opportunity to read more about this project during the summer in our newsletter. Join us here.
I hope that you will continue to join us on our exciting but challenging journey, and until next time – have a wonderful summer.
On behalf of the Snowroller Team
– Linnea, CEO of Snowroller
